I think Autumn must be my most favourite time of the year …..
…….. the colours, the smells, the golden sunshine and warm breezes and watching the leaves cascade down from the trees …….
In my humble opinion it is also the most romantic of the seasons, there isn’t a seasonal activity that comes close to kicking up the leaves on a long walk …….
…….. well, except perhaps for paddling in the Greek sea in the summer and goodness only knows we haven’t been able to do that this year!
Autumn makes me feel all warm and cosy. Darrell has started to make more soup and in the evenings we like to watch tele by candlelight ……. and then there’s mugs of hot chocolate, (with marshmallows and squirty cream at the weekend) before bed.
It also means that within a week or two The Towers will once again get it’s view of the river and the marina back, which is pretty much hidden in the summer, except for the bottom bit ……….. bring it on ……. Happy Days!

Not long before you can eat your soup and take in the extended view, at the same time.
Make sure Nigel doesn't try eating his chowder, whilst hanging out of the window!
