Back On The School Run …..

It’s been such a very long time, but as I said yesterday we have just resumed our duties on the school run. Let's just say that on our first day, when we all went together it was emotional, tears were shed and noses blown not at all discretely! Uncle Nigel, as you might guess tends to dominate the rota. He’d do every day if he could, but it’s only fair that Darrell and I have a turn now and again.

Obviously, things are different now, no long, mid-day trek up to Nursery and back (phew) because Bertie is at “big school” now ……..

……. but there’s still designated pick up times, masks, safe distancing and specific routes round the outside of the school to negotiate, not to mention Iris being in the “even bigger” part of the school, five minutes up the road......

……. but we wouldn’t want to spend our afternoons any other way. It’s toooooooo wonderful for words, despite all the juggling of book bags, PE bags, letters and coats that don’t want to be worn!

We are also seeing parts of Evesham we’ve not explored before …….

…… we even have a new favourite road now, mainly because, I think,  it reminds us very much of the Homeland, round by Castle Greysquirrel.  We’ve all agreed that if we ever left The Towers it will be for this road, but Tom sort of whistled and said that he didn’t think, even if we gave up Maltesers for a year, we would ever be able to afford to buy a house there, but as Nigel said, there’s always the lottery if we actually did it! We can but dream.

And no ....... I am not sure when we will get Nigel out of his Halloween garb ...... I have a feeling it could go on till we don our festive apparel!

How wonderful that you can see Miss Iris and Master Bertie every day.

"Back On The School Run ….." RUN? I hope Nigel doesn't think that they have to jog, sprint, trot, whiz or scamper all the way, there and back.

It’s good to have a dream house and I think Nigel looks great in his pumpkin outfit!

Happy little school run days......it's all just too marvellous for words and marvellous enough for a wee pumpkin munchkin to do too. JantheFan x
