Following on from yesterday, Wednesday’s are now our days to have Iris and Bertie, unfettered and without fear being reported to the meltdown authorities
It’s our most favourite day of the week, but perhaps not quite our most favourite evening …….. because despite trying to put toys away before “we” get a new one out and tidying up as "we" go …… we are a little out of practice!
This week while Darrell cooked the tea and I had a lie down in a darkened room, it was Nigel’s turn to tidy up, but despite all his bravado he is just a big softie. If he finds one of Iris’s little notes, or in this case her unicorn identification tick list, he just sighs, strokes it and tucks it away his burgeoning “special” box.
As for their little constructions, so carefully thought out, well, he can hardly bring himself to break them up. What is he like?
And you’ve guessed, as soon he thought he was finally done and we were all sat down for a well deserved and peaceful tea, he spotted a left behind treasure under the sofa, in this case Bertie’s “donut” won from the Grabber Machine at his beloved Ladrum Bay last year ……..
……. which needed to be picked up ……..
……. and carefully put up on the shelf safe and sound until next week without the need, hopefully, of someone having to drive down and collect it because there were tears at bedtime! No one told us Uncledom would be quite so tiring, BUT we wouldn’t swop it for all the world, Happy Days.

Fantastic. Happy days, and happy memories.
It certainly is Happy Wednesdays from now on. JantheFan x That 'special' box WILL be filled with extra special things. Lots and lots of love being one of them. JantheFan x
