There’s A Whole Lot Of Erection Going On ……..

Oh my goodness, poor Nigel has hardly known where to put himself this past few days and is demanding that, if we don’t mind, all his meals and snacks are bought to him by the window so he doesn’t miss a single thing.

Something mahoooosive is afoot under the bridge, on the other side of the river, to wit a massive erection of a scaffolding type nature.  In the past couple of months, though we have heard an awful lot of noise and seen one or two comings and goings on the river and around the fenced off area of the footpath, that’s been about it ……so this is a monumental development for the little fella.

And …… words can’t describe his reaction when he saw that someone was actually working right at the top, in between the bridge girders, within feet of the trains …….

  …at that point The Towers was awash in a sea of awe and wonder….

……… romanticism, hero worship, not to mention a sense of overwhelming envy.

I sense things are about to get very interesting, and Nigel may well be, temporarily, lured away from glitz and glamour of the school run for a ring side seat at our back window instead, in turn giving Darrell and I a few more slots of the largely Nigel monopolised school run rota and a chance to collect Iris and Bertie a bit more often now!
