A New, Very Convenient, Convenience Store In Our Lives.

Adam, the new supermarket on the cusp of the corner that eventually leads to The Towers has finally opened …….

……. and well, it would just be rude for Nigel not to quickly pop in and have a gander.

The first thing he noticed was the (faux) green grass step on the threshold of the shop  which he thought was very exotic and romantic, even for Evesham.

This was swiftly followed by the most beautiful, blue, marble flooring, that was posh beyond belief, this, Darrell had to see, the little fella told us on his return home. It was stunning, but could, if we weren't careful, give Darrell ideas way beyond his station!

And then ……. there was the magical wall of fridge, full of all manner of wonderous beverages, again a perfect browsing spot for Darrell, when looking for new and innovative ingredients for his beloved cocktail making.

The shelves were also very comprehensively stacked, with the familiar and not so familiar, including a whole corner of dedicated to the savoury snack and crisp …….

…. and well, while feeling slightly overwhelmed, this being his first visit, it would have still looked impolite not to purchase a little something, so on the occassion of this first shop, a large bag of Tomato Wheels seemed an excellent option, as we all come to terms with finally having our very own corner shop, as it were, since leaving the homeland.

Nigel complimented the new owners on their new, wonderful establishment and said he was pretty sure he’d become one of their most “regular” customers, as they were on the return lap of his school run ………. and then ….. he spotted the watermelons in the front ……. OMG, they were mahoooooooosive.  The last time he’d seen watermelons that big was in a Walmart in Last Vegas ……… for Nigel, life and adventure (i.e trying to get even a quarter of one of these bad boys home) had just gone up another whole notch! What earth is he like?

That looks like a very fine "corner shop." I'm sure Darrell and Nigel will have many wonderful visits.
