This morning I found Darrell and Nigel as thick as thieves amidst much cutting, gluing, punching, stringing and whispering.
They wouldn't say what they were up to, but since they were obviously extremely focused on their task, it would have been rude to disturb them, so I decided to leave them be ...........
........and after all who doesn't enjoy a little peace and quiet to themselves, even in meltdown.
Then after a while I heard them tidy away, again, whispering madly and then go out into the communal garden at the back ..............
....... where, unknown to me, proceeded to tie the two sets of big, colourful bunting that they'd been making, either side of the back doors to spell out "Happy Easter" .........
.......... adding a few carrots in the middle plus some balloons (left over from Halloween) here and there for good measure.
What can I say ............????
They said they just wanted to cheer everyone up, with us all being in meltdown. They knew it was perhaps a bit amateur.....
.............. but there was no way they could let Easter pass without a little "something" to help give everyone in the block a warm, fuzzy feeling of a spring type nature when they all looked out from their windows.
Let's just say it was emotional ................ very, very, VERY emotional ........ and The Boyz dun gud, bless their little cotton (or polyester) socks!
