The Halcyon Days Before ........Living In Lockdown - Day 10 - Memories Of The Edible Flower Gardens of Witney

*Please note - this post was put together before we went into meltdown

Tom The Scientist and the Lovely Laura bought their very first house in Witney, and I have to say I have always had an enormous soft spot for the town,  so when Lucy suggested we pay a visit after our Oxfam Superstore trip it would have been rude not to say yes. I was not disappointed and love it just as much, especially Huffkins Tearoom!
Now, I know we have an edible flower bed in Evesham, in fact we've featured it several times over the past year or so as it holds a certain fascination for Nigel, especially the tomatoes, however it is the great abundance of discarded dog ends that has always put us all off from truly wishing to avail ourselves of it.
I have to say I was very impressed by the edible garden by Langdale Hall, if only Nigel had been with me to see it too, he would have been almost beside himself and, dare I say, have been tempted to the odd tiny nibble or two ........ after washing, of course.
All the herbs and other plants were clearly labeled and easily identified by pictures, so no risk of inadvertent poisoning mishaps to enthusiastic samplers ...... and, not a single dog end in sight!  Happy Days.
