Nigel, Finally In Thomas Land Itself ……..

Nigel said he’d never held an entrance ticket as hard as he held his pass to Thomas Land, no way did he want to get to the entrance gate and find himself panicking, going through every single pocket upon his person, then every  bag etc. only to be found wanting ……. and ultimately refused entry as an flagrant interloper!

The winding walk done to the park was filled with an emotional and mahoooosive palpable and tangible excitement.

I am afraid that once inside said emotional and mahoooosive palpable and tangible excitement consumed Nigel completely whereby he totally forgot to take any photos of merit of the proceeding events and occurances!

However, as Darrell said philosophically afterwards, despite our disappointment, it’s best to live the experience in real life rather than through the lens of your camera or phone, after all the “real” pictures/memories will always be in your head and heart forever anyway.

Let’s just say Nigel will admit to going on everything at least six times, except for the Blue Mountain Engines where he lost count, at times never even getting off for a few rides …….. while still managing to keep his breakfast and lunch in him!

There was time for a quick look around the zoo and the dinosaurs ……..

……… but it was a very quick look ………. this was really a day of unfettered thrills and spills with unbridled squeals of delight after a horrid, confined year of separation and lockdown, for once animals and dinosaurs could wait for another day.

And, what better way to end such a day other than picking up a huge-mongous bright orange snake, christened Bert, to bring home as a souvenir …….. whatever will I do with him, Nigel, not the snake?

You finally got there! Wonderful. Lots of memories, too.

Did you meet the Fat Controller, again? Was it the same person?

Over the years, good old Rev. Wilbert Awdry has made a lot of small children, plus a small monkey, very happy.
