Oh mon dieu ....... Darrell woke up last night sweating profusely, a deathly shade of pale and his eyes bulging out of his head, yelling "No, no, no, you can't do this to us!" There really was no doing with him. It took me ages to get him to calm down and reassure him over and over again that he'd just had a very, very bad dream. He said it had all been so real ........... I was a little afraid to ask him what had frightened him so much, for fear that he might suffer some sort of post nightmare traumatic stress in recalling it but this is what he told me ......... he said that he dreamed that Nigel had been asked to report to the kitchen a little earlier than usual and was a handed a letter by a clearly distressed Cook Lady ……
…….but The Cook Lady said that was nothing she could do, this edict had come from Head Office …. "it wasn't personal" they had told her, "It was business!" She had pleaded for Nigel’s “survival” and argued the case to keep him on most robustly, but they were having none of it, Nigel was for the chop!

George is sniffing and sobbing here, poor little Nigel being made redundant, it's just too harsh. What a nightmare...
Sending you all hugs, perhaps Darrell should give up the cheese before bed - my Nan always said it gives you nightmares
Love Jacky xx
P.S. Off to find more tissues for George
