Visions Of A Nautical Type Nature.

The River Avon flows right through the middle of Evesham and yields many pleasures ……
… and whenever we cross the bridge into town there always seems to be something exciting going on ……
….. yesterday, for example, there were boat races …..
IMG_2040…… and it would have been rude not to go down and watch with Baby Iris in the glorious summer sun, saying ready, steady go!!!!
However, Darrell has more ambitious nautical plans, being very taken by the thought of being able to take a short boat trip along the river for just £3.50, that’s 70p cheaper than going from Castle Greyskull to Wolverhampton on the Codsall Clipper and back and far, far, far more romantic!
But, no matter how romantic this idea may be, before he does anything, Darrell says that he needs to check properly the provision of life jackets and the number of lifeboats it carries, plus the muster drill procedure before he will even consider taking Baby Iris on a voyage.

Possibly taking his role as Uncle a little too seriously?! I think Darrell should have been a Boy Scout given all the preparation he does before any event.

I'm with Darrell on this possible event. All health and safety measures must be adhered to. There needs to be a full risk assessment taken before one sets foot on this waterborne vessel. Having been in education circles Darrell knows that is ONE thing that MUST be adhered to at all costs! Heaven to Betsy I don't go down to my local Co-Op without a full risk assessment being taken - I could get frozen to death in the freezer isle. ALL precautions must be taken where little baby Iris is concerned please! JantheFan x

Romantic but they don't have George like the Banga bus had.
