Living La Vida Lockdown–Day 49 – Bit Confused Of Evesham

It goes without saying that last night we were all sat sittingon the edge of our seats, backs up straight, waiting for Boris to make his address to the nation.
waiting for Boris's announcent
But, is it OK to admit we were left a little confused?

We think we are still in meltdown and therefore still in incarceration, but, if we worked, we could/should go back today, but only on foot or on a bike, but definitely not on public transport.

However, as we no longer go to work, we are at liberty to go to the park all day, every day, if we so wish, to avail ourselves of a few Joe Wicks type workouts or if we’re not up to it, just sit on a bench all day, just so long as we only do it with people of our own sort household.

We’re not sure whether we can take a picnic or not,  Boris, with his very expressive hands didn’t really mention that.

In June, if we can keep R below 1, we might get a glimmer of our beloved school runs, with, perhaps, the possibility of popping into one of the shops that could then be open for a cheeky wee Magnum, Twister or Tip Top.
We're on the Alert
And in July, fingers crossed, we might even be able to avail ourselves of local hospitable establishments, if they are are able to reopen  ……..  BUT we need to Stay Alert, which is already worrying Nigel, because even though he has a seemingly unending buoyant spirit, it has been known for him to flag a little from time to time.

He says he is now going to put aside a few of Iris and Bertie’s craft matchsticks ready to prop his eyes open, if he ever feels himself “going”, as he doesn’t want to be found wanting in the CA=R+1 equation.
Fortunately, we managed to record Boris’s announcement, so we are going play it back a couple more times, to make sure we’ve got the gist of what Boris was setting out, but for now, to quote The Apprentice ……. our meltdown continues ……… we think??????

Things aren't confusing, here in Mexico. I have Mrs. D to advise me.

Oh boyz - thank you for lifting my spirits (not in a Derek Acorah (RIP) type of way, I hasten to add) you really made me chuckle. JantheFan x
