Promenading The South Bank

Hugh declared that he was cancelling all of his meetings of great import for yesterday afternoon ……
….. and that Cheryl F-V would just have to manage all by herself and choose zee dress for next Saturday night without him, because what he wanted to do was go on zee fabuuuuuuulous promenade along zee South Bank with Darrell and Nigel instead!
And indeed, it was both fabuuuuuuulous ………….
……. and romantic in a Love Actually, London in autumn type nature  …….
Darrell was very, very, very taken indeed by the exhilarating skateboarding they stopped to watch and the graffiti in the said skateboarding area ……
……  however, I just pray it didn’t inspire him to any potential designs that he might want to add to his bedroom walls  ……
….. or the urgent need for spray paint!

It was a wonderful afternoon……
…… with Hugh as a very knowledgeable and genial host ….. who didn’t even bat an eye when Nigel asked if the Golden Hind had been a pirate ship!
It was a time for friends ……
……. to just be happy in each others company ….. without, at times, needing to say a word ….
…… but just sit and watch the world go by ……
…… and embrace …….
……. exactly where they were in the world ………
…… at that moment .......... and smile at the thought that Cheryl F-V was probably still looking for a frock without Hugh's help!

A lovely walk. Mrs. D and I did this on Mrs. D's first trip to England. We stopped off at the Tate Modern en route.

When I lived in London, I used to go to the Southbank Centre regularly to see classical concerts.

Thanks for bringing back happy memories.
