An Afternoon Spent Writing Our Christmas Cards

It only seems like yesterday that we were all gathered round the table to write our Christmas cards, yet here were are again.
However, it has to be said that Darrell had us posing for it before we had even put away last years festive tranclements.  He said he had an inkling of an idea so arranged for a quick photo shoot which would mean that this years card would be more or less in the bag, without having the need to find and get out all the festive bedding etc. in the middle of the year.  I have a spooky, ghost of Christmas future feeling that this might be his plan for next years card too.
Anyway, I have to say it turned out really well, with us posing for a very cosy boudoir shot as "resting merry gentlemen".
It would have been nice to have had a few nibbles and some light liquid refreshment to help us along, but to be honest, a degree of merriment could quite possibly have then ensued ......
...... and we might have found our efforts ruined by high spirited spillages and unseemly greasy  marks due to foolhardy behaviour because said merriment got out of hand.
It was best to follow health and safety regulations and get on with the task with no unhindered distraction with Darrell promising mugs of hot chocolate with squirty cream, a flake, sprinkles and just a shot of Baileys accompanied by one or two or three pulled ham and rarebit crumpets, and for good measure, breaking open the Pringles, well, who Nigel and  I to argue?

I'm coming down next year when you write your cards - sounds like a feast and a half going on down there. All I get when I write my cards is a cup of Yorkshire Gold Tea, ee by gum. JantheFan p.s. your cards are brilliant btw.

Fantastic photo and a wonderful card!

Seeing as the photo was taken almost a year ago, you haven't aged at all!
