This isn't really an exclusively festive problem, but when there are extra culinary duties to perform at this time of year the problem does seems to become more heightened when Darrell especially spends more time in the kitchen .........
....... the said problem being - where do all the flipping teaspoons disappear to? We always seem to have them on our shopping list and tend to buy them by the half dozen when we see them ..........
...... so why is it that we are yet again down to our last two and at a time when Darrell has mince pies to fill and pickles and chutneys to decant? Where on earth do they go?
Nigel has been tasked to look for them, under and between the cushions on the sofa, under the beds, in other drawers where they shouldn't be, in pockets, lunch boxes and in totally unexpected places! So far he has only come up with one, and that was in the sink cupboard among the dish clothes!
It looks like the next time one of us is in town we need to get yet another half dozen or perhaps, to be on the safe side, a dozen this time ...... after all we certainly don't want to be found wanting in the teaspoon department, especially at Christmas!
