Darrell's PPI Claim

You may recall some months ago that Darrell had received an exciting letter confirming that he had a legitimate claim for being mis-sold PPI and as such he decided to pursue it via his claims company.
Well, yesterday he received a very official, many paged and complicated letter ...... along with a cheque for £37.69!  He thinks his case was taken right up to the High Courts, but I am not so sure.  It isn't a life changing sum of money, but nevertheless with the festive season upon us Darrell says that it will go to buy one or two extra treats, perhaps of a Quality Street or even Thorntons Continental Chocolates type nature.
However, as he used a specialist company to make the claim on his behalf, a cut commission fee of £17.44 is now owing to them, leaving him with an even less a life changing amount of money to "play with", £20.25 to be exact, but since Darrell lacked the tenacity or metal to chase it himself, it is a small price to pay.  Goodness knows how much the legal team to go to the  High Courts cost, let alone all postage on the many letters and forms that have gone back and forth over the past few months.
And there could be more, because Darrell also received yet another letter telling him that he has another claim in the pipeline, which as it was not upheld by the bank (whatever that means ???) the matter should now proceed to the Ombudsman and according to Darrell, see another day in court!
So, he has filled in and sent off another pile of the forms and we await the High Courts next decision, but I still very much doubt that this time next year, we will be millionaires!

It is better than nothing. Good luck with the next claim.

I would go for Thorntons' Special Toffee, myself.
