After Nigel’s disappointment with his gummi octopuses Darrell noticed that Nigel seemed a little out of sorts …..

……. preferring his own company and sitting quietly

……. gazing at nothing in particular ……..

…… and sighing!

So Darrell decided to make something he has seen in tinternet that he thought might lift the melancholy in Nigel’s heart.

Taking an old jam jar with some string round the top, a couple of glow sticks and a paint brush ……

He took the glow sticks, cut them open over the jar and then painted the contents round the inside ……. as well as the kitchen tiles and himself!!!!!

He wasn’t entirely sure that would work ……. but much to his amazement it did!

He then went into the garden and hung the jar on a branch, on a tree and called Nigel ……..

…… who came out and was instantly and robustly mesmerised ……. it was magic, it was spooky, it was soooooooo beautiful …….

…… awe and wonder was rife dans le jardin and Nigel’s little face said it all.

Nigel and Darrell then sat together in the twilight, with Darrell
almost glowing a much as his jar ……..

Nigel didn’t ask how Darrell had done it ….. it was magic ….

…… and that was enough! “Thank you Darrell” his whispered “You’re sooooooo magic!”

Magical. We had a blood moon the other night and the two would have been awesome together.
what a lovely magical evening that gave Nigel much happiness ......an enchanted time he won't forget....reminds me of a favourite old song: "heavenly shades of night are falling, it' twilight time".... always rely on Darrell for that special creativity ! .....Dianne
