Living La Vida Lockdown - Day 75 - It’s Mint To Be – Mint Maltesers Buttons Review.

It’s been a very long time coming, but yesterday we finally managed to secure the Holy Grail of our Confectionary dreams …….

Mint Maltesers Buttons (2)

……. to wit, a bag of much anticipated and longed for Mint Maltesers Buttons!!!! I think you can all imagine the palpable and tangible excitement that was thronging through The Towers when we got them.

Darrell had insisted on putting them in the fridge for an hour or so before we could even so much as nibble the tiniest crumb, saying that he had a spooky, late, great Derek Acorah sort of feeling that serving them cold would heighten our nomming experience.

Mint Maltesers Buttons It's Mint To Be

How we managed to hold out for that long I’ll never know, because we’ve waiting for this moment since February 10th. I thought we might all spontaneously combust we’d come soooooooo close! http://mumsmonkey.blogspot.com/2020/02/tangible-and-palpable-excitement.html

Just the smell as we opened up the bag nearly tipped us over the edge ……..

Mint Maltesers Buttons (3)....

And, were they worth the wait? Was Hannibal a cannibal? You’d better believe they were!

Mint Maltesers Buttons (3)

Not a single sound was made for at least thirty seconds as we all embraced our quarry and then ……. we all let out the most mahoooosive and simultaneous sigh of pure, unadulterated pleasure……..

MInt Maltesers Buttons (4)

Those thirty seconds were among the most wonderful and memorable moments from all our years of nomming, our Ritchter scale of noms was completely blown out of the water.  That’s how good they were.

Needless to say, we now have a brand new confectionary of choice ……. we just hope we don’t have to wait another four months before we get the chance to enjoy them again.

Wow! Nomtastic. The Richter scale of noms has been ruined forever.

Maybe you need a logarithmic version of the Richter scale of noms. In truth, the Richter scale is actually logarithmic, anyway. Could your scale be a log log scale?
