Living La Vida Lockdown – Day 82–OMG, OMG, OMG, We’re In A Support Bubble

Now, you know we have been in social meltdown since lockdown began, all of 82 days ago and have adhered to all the rules with a meticulous attention to detail ……

…… but ……. a lot of you must have been thinking all along, surely these three monkeys don’t really count in the scheme of things ……. and you’d be right, we are just very upstanding citizens.  However, we now feel it’s the right time to exploit said primate status of not really counting, to its full advantage, with the help of Mum, who generally tends to stay well in the background, but has now been classed as a single living lady, which means she go into one of  Boris’s new support bubbles, taking us, as “totally non counter”, with her ………

……. to wit,  she is now a bona fide member of the Lovely Laura and Tom the Scientist’s household and vice versa, without the need to comply to any social distancing rules whatsoever, whether inside or out and we can be included in that bubble ……… which means we can, on the stroke of midnight tonight, officially and without fear of persecution, have ……….

  SLEEPOVERS 

Can you imagine how emotional this news has been for us? Let’s just say we are already got through a whole box of tissues and red eyes abound. …… the same goes for the Lovely Laura and Tom the Scientist who haven’t had a single break during the whole of lockdown.

Once we’d all recovered sufficiently, Darrell got down and dirty planning menus, even managing to secure a next day Iceland home delivery ……

………. while Nigel and I have freshened up the guest room, including airing the bed bumpers, finding out all the toys …….. as well as putting a full programme of activities together ……..

…… including water pistol fights, obviously Nigel’s idea ……….

……..a bean bag accuracy throwing competition and some genteel crafts for quieter moments, not to mention a post Eurovision tea party.  We can do no more, other than wait until tomorrow when Iris and Bertie can finally enter our bubble,  It’s going to be tooooooooooooo wonderful for words.

What more can we say …….. except that we sort of love you Boris in a totally non physical, socially distanced way of course!
