A New Holiday Tradition …… Toasting The Night Away

For our last night in Greece we decided that we should take a small bottle of fizzy wine and toast our holiday. We have left much un-done in Nidri, but we all agreed that after the all the changes we have experienced in the past three months, we needed the rest more than adventure and Grecian exploration ……..
……. and so, for now, the story of the statue behind Darrell will remain a mystery!
So …….. another holiday over …….
……. and after all that excited planning and robust looking forward ……
……. it has all flown by so very quickly, too quickly, but I think we have embraced it in our own inimitable style, largely, to be honest, of a  gastronomic type nature!!!
I knew it would be emotional …….
IMG_3378So let Darrell poke fun at me mercilessly, for the last time …….
simon cowell trousers……. about my Simon Cowell type beach shorts!!!!And then, in turn,  Darrell and I both teased Nigel about his insatiable appetite for all things of a comestible Greek nature …..
……. and how all the restaurant front of house people now knew him by name!!!!
It was such a romantic way to reminisce and say good bye ……
…… which I think will become a new holiday tradition.

What's a holiday without some sort of celebration? And a celebration requires fizz!!!!

Hi boys! The statue is Aristotle Onassis, who owned Skorpios just next to where you were. His statue looks across to Skorpios. Well loved by the people of the town he often came from his island for dinner in Nydri. Just think, you could have even sat at one of the tables he also sat at!
