A Unique Experience …. Not To Be Sullied!!

Work has been hosting a party of Japanese  students who are all very cute with their knee high white socks and giggly demeanour ……
…… and they have bought presents for all the staff, including us, to share…….

…. to wit, very beautifully and delicately presented snack packs. At first, we thought that perhaps the contents were of a cosmetic type nature, but as some were being opened, we saw that they were in fact a small assortment of crackers …..
……. and with that, we all looked at each other and spookily thought as one ……. “A Japanese Snack Review”, it was a no brainer and thus our pack was carefully transported back to Castle Greysquirrel for our critical delectation, via the Banga bus!!
When we opened the pack all the aforementioned little crackers, served on a little plastic tray, looked exceedingly dainty and enticing ….. how very different from our home grown Monster Munch or tomato flavour Snaps ……
…… but, it was hard to gauge as to whether they were sweet or savoury,
……. the only way to be certain was to bite into them and sample robustly, but in a manner suitable to reflect their great delicacy …
….. as we all sensed greatly that these snacks were meant to be nibbled with finesse and not gobbled avariciously…..
However, despite our mindful nibblige, the crackers still proved to be  somewhat of an enigma as they were both sweet and savoury at the same time ….. which Nigel summed up very succinctly as  “A confusin’ fusion of ying and yang!” …….
……. and who was the one who ventured to try all the little black comestibles, which we hoped were comestible and not just protective wrapping ……
In the end however we also came to the same, (once more very spookily),  descision  that we didn’t feel it would be right to award one of our now world famous Richter scale of noms to these snacks ….. firstly because, they were a gift and secondly, it felt wrong and ungrateful to sully such very exotic and unique experience with what could be seen as a scientifically cold and impersonal rigorous marking process,  and just say  “Thank You Very Much Lovely Visitors”
