And So Our London Adventure Begins …..

It’s an unusual and thus a very special occasion for all three of us to go away together, but on an adventure to see our VBF (Very Best Friend) Hugh who lives La Vida Showbiz in Notting Hill and Vinnie The Volunteer who is working as a Games Maker assigned to the Aquatic Centre for the Olympic and Paralympic Games there was no way anyone was going to be left behind.
Virgin Train Wolverhampton to LondonNone of us slept very robustly last night  because of the tangible and palpable excitement that surrounded us.  And it was with happy hearts that we were finally able to take our seats in Carriage A of the 12.45 Virgin train from Wolverhampton to Euston …… having packed a sufficient sufficiency of Marmite and Dairy Lea finger rolls, pickled onion Monster Munch, a strawberry Petits Filous for Nigel and some Capri Sun (orange flavour) to stave of any hunger or thirst pangs we might suffer on the journey
Virgin Trains Wolverhampton to London.Nigel was as good as (Olympic) gold and hummed the Chariots of Fire theme for most of the journey, which, although was as irritating as hell, we hadn’t the heart to tell him to “shut the **** **** **** up!
Metro Free Paper We whiled away the time reading all the Olympic news in the Metro, formulating plans on how we would spend our days and debating what meals we might eat out to try out some typical London cuisine!
Euston Station LondonWe arrived at Euston and thus The Olympic City - London at about 3.00, it was overwhelming for all of us to step onto such hallowed ground ….
Euston Station London LOndon Ambassadors…. and Darrell became totally overcome and had to take five minutes to pull himself together before we were able to brandish our newly charged Oyster Cards on the London Underground …..
London Underground Olympic…. All the smells, the sounds and the vibrations we were experiencing were so powerfully romantic and exciting  I don’t think any of us could believe we were REALLY in London!Vinnie Olympic Games Maker Aquatic Centre… And then there was our joyous reunion with Vinnie at his (and now our) digs at UCL Astor College ….. We could hardly contain the pride we felt for him, after his seven long years of hard work volunteering all over the country for every event of a sports type nature he could, in order to gain enough experience to finally “live the dream” as a Games Maker at the London 2012 Games.  We hugged, we cried, we hugged some more and cried  ….. and then we took stock and gazed at his room …..
Astor College London.….. festooned in patriotic bunting ….Astor College London…….. and decorated with Olympic fervour and passion. Again, Darrell was quite, quite overcome, and I could see that we were going to be on a rollercoaster ride of emotion of an X Factor contestant type nature over the next few days!
Aquatics Centre Games Maker Vinnie The VolunteerVinnie said that he was sorry but due to his heavy schedule of shifts and responsibility we would be in charge of our own Londonian destiny …. and furnished us with a plethora of maps, guide books and our tickets for the Olympic Park, which we all handled with the delicacy of a museum curator …. and then he suggested we should settle into our room …..
Astor College..…… which was down the labrynthian corridors of the aforementioned UCL Astor College accommodation … and outside of which Vinnie had left a few provisions for our early morning cup of tea ….
Astor College Provisions….. to which we added a few vittles' of our own in very our personal room fridge!
Astor College London Room Fridge …. And so on to bed, to dream of all the adventures that lay before us
Dreams of LondonWe couldn’t have felt more blessed in a Hello magazine type way,  even if we were Peter Andre introducing his new girlfriend to the world!

Can't wait for the adventures to unfold even further! Wish I was there with you all - though it doesn't look I could fit in that bed anyway!

I am sure you are going to have a great time. Will Marc and Hugh understand the Black Country/Brummie/Yam Yam (Delete as applicable) accents? I don't have an accent myself.......

I seldom comment, but i did some searching and wound up here "And So Our London Adventure Begins .....".
And I do have 2 questions for you if it's allright. Is it only me or does it appear like some of these responses appear as if they are written by brain dead people? :-P And, if you are posting at other places, I would like to keep up with anything new you have to post. Would you make a list of every one of all your communal sites like your Facebook page, twitter feed, or linkedin profile?
