Nigel said that he felt in serious need of some “comfort food” when we got in from work. My Head of Department and Nigel's Cook Lady had allowed us to come home a little early as it was a special "occasion", they also felt that now fourteen hours into his Red Nose Bush Tucker Trial Nigel should be as close to home comforts as possible .........
So I fixed him a special bowl of his favourite sweet potato and carrot mash with an added bounteous splodge of mint jelly …… all of which he indeed find very comforting…….. I in turn felt encouraged that Nigel, was still showing no sign of flagging and was still nomming quite happily as he tackled each trial, though I was beginning to detect that he was emitting the occasional little bottom burp!
