Nigel Bids His Own Fond Farewell To Reykjavik ………

Before our Icelandic Tour Wrap Party we had a little free time at the Perlan,  one of Reykjavik's famous landmarks, built on top of the hot water storage tanks that feed the city, and where, from the deck at the top you are greeted by stunning vistas of said city and across the sea.
Perlan. It was a fitting place from which to take our final glimpses of Reykjavik ……..
….. under a clear blue sky and with a light dusting of snow on the ground ….
We have both decided that we would like to return one day but with Darrell. We have seen so much, but, we have only seen the tip of the iceberg ….. we would have loved to have seen more of Reykjavik, like the cathedral, we sadly didn’t get to see the Northern Lights, and then…. there was whale watching …… which I had managed to keep from Nigel until almost the end of our trip!!!!!
As he drank in the stunning panorama in front of him, Nigel sighed and masked a sad sniff, saying that in his humble opinion a man who was tired of Iceland, was a man who had tired of life, and in that case he was wide eyed and bushy tailed (despite his blisters) …… what is he like??????

Those words sound so true of Iceland as well as London.......a true experience for the senses that will remain long after you are snug at home....the good part is your reunion with Darrell......obviously, dear Nigel's main topic of conversation for a very long time will be incredible Iceland!......Dianne

Maybe a lifetime of Icelandic winters would make you fancy warmer climes. Then again, you could always ski.
