We celebrated our last night/wrap party in Iceland at Ruby Tuesdays, a burger bar in the centre Reykjavik and a short walk from our hotel ……
It was an evening of shared memories, tinged with a little sadness at our leaving, we all agreed that it had been a triumphant tour with sooooooo many romantic memories to take back home, but we had started to miss Darrell greatly and Nigel’s blisters were getting the better of him now that he knew that there were no more of Stuart’s two/three hour hikes ahead of him and he didn’t have to bravely try to conceal his pronounced limp!
……. while Nigel enjoyed his first ever Halal burger, traded with one of the girls, who fancied his more than her own!For me, my highlight had to be the beach at Vik and for Nigel, well, it was just about EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!
And then when we got back to the hotel there were, we admit, a few more tears …… but before we jetted back home the next day, we had one very last adventure ……. something we had both been looking forward to for all our trip and the final tick on Nigel’s Iceland Ice Bucket List!
