It’s Christmas Eve ……Keeping Nigel Occupied

It’s Christmas Eve, and I am almost packed and ready ….. and in a few hours time we shall be on our way to Evesham. For Nigel the days become impossibly long as his anticipation and excitement grows so all I can say is a mahooooosive “Thank You” to Tesco for putting in a free festive activity pack in with our online order …… because it has been a saving grace this morning for occupying and channelling, but not in a Derek Acorah channelling type way, Nigel’s festive buoyance!
With the kit he and Darrell have successfully made a fortune telling game using their powers of origami ……
……. spent several hours trying to find a very illusive  “sleigh” and “reindeer”  in the word search puzzle …….
…… covered themselves “artistically”  in festive stickers …….
…… and laughed so much that they have complained simultaneously that their stomachs hurt and that they needed a wee ………
……. after reading all the jokes in the Advent calendar …… I mean, how funny can “What do snowmen have for breakfast?” be after the tenth time in asking?
Tonight, we leave some old Christmas traditions behind at Castle Greysquirrell to make way for new ones in Evesham. It’s hard, but we won’t be leaving a candle burning in the large lantern in the garden to remember all the special people who won’t be spending Christmas with us this year because we don’t want any fire related accidents and because we think that they will follow us to Evesham in our hearts anyway ……
Have a lovely, lovely, lovely day …… and we will try our best to keep you up to speed on our festive adventures, although it might be little sporadically over the next few days.
PS. Snowmen have snowflakes for breakfast!!!!
