Despite a “teasing” of snow on Sunday evening, the sight that greeted Darrell and Nigel when they got up yesterday morning was far from what they had hoped for ….. instead of the deep and crisp and even, all they they got was thin, damp and slushy …… 
….. not at all the snowy scenario that snowball fights, John Lewis snowmen and igloo parties are made of ….. and to boot, conditions that did not even warrant a day off work! 
So no romance ….. I am afraid …. 
…… just sludge!!!

I read that it could get snowier overnight so, hopefully it will be deep and crisp and even, instead of shallow, warm and scraggy.

It was temporarily a lovely dusting of snow, even if it wasn't enough for the desired igloo or snowman...Dianne
