Vinnie–Birmingham New Street Volunteer

Birmingham New Street VolunteerOur friend Vinnie (The Volunteer)  popped in very fleetingly to see us last night,  totally exhausted after another full and robustly varied day of extensive activities of a volunteer type nature……
Birmingham New Street Volunteer.Nigel was very impressed by Vinnie’s mahooosive badge, which was even bigger than Nigel’s head.
Birmingham New Street we'll point youVinnie told us that he will be working for the next couple of weeks at  New Street Station helping bewildered and confused  passengers find their way to, from and around the new concourse of the revamped station …..  a job of great responsibility and sensitivity, one rogue directional instruction and a weary traveller could find themselves going up and down the same escalotor several times without realising it and then still not knowing where they had come from or where they were going! Birmingham New Street Volunteer 2013He showed us his volunteers bag which was usually bulging with complementary maps which he had to hand out to the aforementioned confused and bewildered passengers ……
New Street Map ….. whilst answering all their pressing and pertinent queries with all due diligence, with his usual assured authority.  He said it was all very tiring as he was dealing with,  what at times appeared to be a tsunami of people.
trustworthy VolunteerHe did confide in us that there had been a slight hiccough with the supply of lunchtime sandwiches but he always made sure he got his BLT with extra T, before he went on duty.  He also told us that he had had an encounter with “a celebrity” who was an absolute **** ….. but wild horses wouldn’t make us tell you who it was!
B'ham New Street Volunteer. VinnieVinnie has such a romantic life ….. but his feet at the end of the day are not quite so romantic!

Excellent work by Vinnie.
I don't think Vinnie gives rouge directions. Hopefully he doesn't give rogue ones either. Red colour in his cheeks? Tee hee.

So Vinnie met a 4 star celeb - lucky him! These **** celebs, there are far too many of them around, they get everywhere these days. Well done Vinnie for pointing everyone in the right direction.
You all look kinda cute in those pics. I know I know - cute is not a word you associate with yourselves - you want a more macho word - but nope cute is staying.
