Something Is Definitely Not Brewing!

Picture 161
We have hops growing up the side of one of the walls in the garden and Darrell has voiced on several occasions his notion  of making some home brew with the festive season in mind, I quote “We pickle our own onions, this could be our next foray into self sufficiency ” What is he like?
Picture 162
I have said in no uncertain terms, no, no and thrice no and have banned the word “yeast” from our daily vocabulary,  with Nigel around, can you imagine the consequences?  As they say in France “Bonnet de Douche!”

Oooer, good job you haven't got a grapevine else Darrell would have you treading grapes in the bath with arms linked to stop from sliiping around I suspect! Whatever will he think up next? Di xx

Oh Di .... I may have to delete you comment about treading grapes before Darrell sees ... because Grandad Colin actually has a couple of vines growing across his arbor (?) ..... I think I'll tell Darrell they are a variation of vine tomato!!!!

Oh dear, more laughter here! Shouldn't you have been tucked up in bed asleep when you posted your comment Monkey? Best not to let Darrell see my comment about the grapes then :) He does need a bit of a tight rein! Di x

What next - pickled onions, beer, wine, followed by a pickled Nigel after too much alcohol.

.... Yes I should have been in bed, Di, but I was so worried about a potential grape treading scenario that sleep eluded me! I feel it may already be too late, I suspect your comment has already been spotted by Darrell as he casually mentioned "Demi Johns and cork insertion" into our tea time conversation. I fear the worst!

Oh dear - why am I once again sitting here giggling when it must be very worrying to have to watch Darrell for his mad-cap schemes all the time. Images of the 'I Love Lucy' TV programme when she was grape-treading keep springing to mind - before your time I'm sure, but very funny! Di x
